Not in the next few weeks. I'm shipping 3 trades tomorrow. Fun, but not fun on the wallet. Going on vacation next week won't make me feel better.

Definitely keep this in mind for ~3 weeks from now, if you still want NEBCO.

Sounds good. Enjoy your vacation!

Killer trade with Blizzard. Thanks a bunch. Been enjoying your Homebrew as well. Can't wait to return the favor.

You can homebrew a batch for not much more than that!

Haha maybe where you're from and if you have the fore sight, know how, space, and Privilege to buy in bulk! Not in NYC unfortunately. The closest I've come is . A SMaSH session pale that cost me between 20-25$. Don't remember exactly.

We do have one of the lowest costs of living in the country. What is over a buck, but I get barley malt for $.85 a pound. At a pound per gallon or so Berliners or Gose are pretty cheap

Base malt for me is about 1.25$ a lb when buying by the lb. specialty grains are moderately pricier. hops run Any where from 1.25 to high 2s when buying by the Oz. liquid yeast is usually $7.

Didn't think of that. you're right, ingredients wise a gose might be a very cost effective recipe to make. With my limited experience my first few attempts might not be up to snuff. I see giving myself another year or two experience before attempting any sour styles. I'm in this for the long haul and want to learn as much as I can the best way I can. Patience is almost always rewarded in this great endeavor of ours.

If you have the basic techniques down (i.e. not having major problems with efficiency, temp. control, no off flavors, etc.) then don't be afraid to jump into a new style or method. Hell, my third beer I went from kits to doing a partial grain Belgian and I thought that was one of my better beers! :mug:

Haha im in the same boat as you as it only took me one batch doing extract with steeping specialty grain to decide to go all grain. My first all grain batch and 2nd batch ever was a blgian strong that is still improving with age. I have about 10 left. November will be its one year birthday.

I buy local Montana 2-row for about the same here $.85 a pound. Wyeast/White Labs are $7 each. Hops are $1.50/oz for pellets or leaf. Most specialty grains are $1.00 - $1.50 a pound.

Jealous I'm at $1.15/lb in bulk, 1.75-2.50 for specialty stuff. I can get Canadian 2 row for a lot less but the quality is hit or miss.

Hops are kind of pricey here, 1.75-2.75/oz great selection with most running around 2.25. I usually buy in bulk at cost for my lhbs though.

Haven't bought yeast in awhile but I think it is 7 bucks for liquid.
