The Top of the Hops beer festival is coming to my area (Jackson, MS), and I am definitely planning to attend. I am just curious to hear how the event has been in other cities.

Did they have a large selection, and did the supplies last for the entire show? I just want to see if it is a problem for me to show up an hour or so after it starts or if I need to get there early to get the good samples.

I went to the one in Louisville. The selection was good. There wasn't as much swag available as I would've expected. The beer did not last the whole time. I left an hour early and by that time I'd say more than half the vendors were out of beer. That said, I still tried a ton of beers, got really drunk, and had a good ole time

It came through Louisville, Ky on Fathers Day. The selections were better than I expected and the supplies lasted till the last hour. It was an awesome time, have a designated driver.

The Top of the Hops Festival in Jackson, MS was a huge success. It looked like there were several thousand people there, and the selections were great considering it is MS after all. Plenty of brews and a great time. Well worth the trip, and I am looking forward to it again next year.

Just checked out the beer vendor list and holy crap! I'd definitely go if it was in my town. Only downfall I see is, how in the world are you supposed to drink that much beer in only 4 hours! IMO, a beer fest should be an all day event. Not a lame 2-6.
