I got a brown ale that is way too carbonated. Open a bottle without burping it and it'll bubble over for minutes. I like a fair amt of carbonation but not this much and especially in a brown ale. It's almost like pop rocks to the mouth. I think I'm stuck but figured I'd ask the rest of you... I have not enough room in the fridge to put them all in there (kegs are in there now :D )so the rest are resting at 75f or so. No bombs yet (3 weeks) so I don't think I'm going to have any. Will time reduce co2 or am I basically SOL with what I got. Any other commentary welcome. Never had this happen before. Same amt of sugar as all my other batches and FG was way low (1.008). Sucks, as the taste is great...

I don't think the carbonation will reduce with time if you have the kind of seal you want on your bottles. I've not been in the situation, so beats me, but I would uncap them for a half hour in the fridge and then recap. Not sure if that will get an acceptable result, but it's worth a shot.

The thought even crossed my mind to lightly burp them by tweaking the caps. Or, move them ever so gently into a keg...

JMO but as carbonated as they are, you won't be successful in getting them to a keg.

My personal procedure would be to first chill 5 bottles down. Uncap all 5 and place them in the fridge. Start a timer for 30 minutes. Recap 1 at that time. Recap another at 45 minutes, recap another at 1 hour, recap another at 1 1/2 hour, and another at 2 hours and the last at 3 hours. Make sure that you can ID which bottle was at what time.

24 hours later, pop them one at a time and drink. Decide which was the best and move forward from there.
