I recently lost an American White Oak in a storm and saved some of the wood aside to make some cubes for aging. I have cut 1" cubes with a band saw, next I need to toast the cubes.

I have toasted/charred cubes before with a propane torch so I know this is a decent method. Any suggestions about using an oven or stovetop to toast oak cubes?
