I made a lemon mead in april and it tastes about done...I'm planning on kegging if carbing or bottling if left flat. What say you?

Sorry to revived this thread and bring it to my own question.
As a newbie brewer I wonder about the carbonation.
In case I finished all things in fermentation and bottled it.

What factor can cause my mead carbornated?
Can it happen itself?
Is the carbornate same as sparkle?
