choco knows already.. Thats 3 guesses next he will drop the bomb

Heh, I have an impairment - when I see a beer in that same tulip, I can only think of beers I've had at Inka Mama's. If I guessed the one that comes to mind it would definitely be wrong since it's a local brewery.

But OK I'll do it just to prove I'm not a mind-reading cyber-wizard. Artifex Hibisc-this. A bad beer from a great brewery (who is currently experimenting with usually good results...I just can't get behind a hibiscus beer)

I was leaning toward a raspberry but I have noticed quite a few raspberry beers popping up at bev mo,so might not qualify as "rarely used"

Hint #2: This was a seasonal beer.

Notice I posted another hint in under 48 hours **cough**chocotaco**cough**

Not a fruit. In case any more proof is necessary that I actually think about answers, here is what I was thinking if it was a fruit:

Rarely used citrus: Buddha's hand, yuzu, bergamot, kumquat
Rarely used rosaceae: Quince, plum, apricot, pear, peach, loquat, rose hips, rose petals, crabapple
Rarely used ribes: Gooseberry, redcurrant, white currant

The color doesn't suggest any major fruit interference, which rules out highly pigmented adjuncts like redcurrant. And ribes besides black and red currants are very uncommon. So eliminate ribes.

Apricot, peach, and plum are more likely to appear soon after Spring because that's when they're seasonal. So probably not one of those unless it's been aging for a while. Eliminate those.

I have never heard of a beer using rose hips or petals, loquat, quince or crabapple. So eliminate those. If it turns out to be that, I'll learn something.

Maybe:
Logsdon Seizoen (pear juice for bottle conditioning)
New Belgium Yuzu Berliner Weisse (Yuzu, obviously)
Almanac Farmer's Reserve Citrus (Buddha's hand and bergamot)

But, it's not a fruit. So discard that train of thought.

Man, cut me a break! I had a lot on my mind the last couple days. I had a job offer that I had to think really hard about (same thing I'm doing now, less responsibility, no career advancement, but more money) and it was a really difficult decision, mostly because of the "more money" part.

Edit: turned it down, in case you're curious
