Hey Brewers - I've been using a Tilt with quite a lot of success connected to an old iPhone 4. Unfortunately the iPhone ran out of battery because the charger got pulled out :/ As a result this stopped it logging the readings, luckily I've noticed within the hour.

I want to start tracking again in the same google sheet.

Does anyone know how this could be done? Connecting to the same google sheet without it creating a new one?

IME once the phone boots back up it should continue right where it left off. I have to manually change the brew name and enter my email again for it to start a new log, otherwise it just continues to log on the most recently-started brew google sheet. Of course, the caveat here is that I use raspberry pi with tiltPi to do my logging, but I shut off the RPI after each brew and when I turn it back on weeks later, it continues on the same sheet unless I manually change the details in the “logging” section.

Awesome, thanks for the answer. That's a really good feature that they should mention on their website as I'm sure I'm not the only one it's happened to.

So I ended up creating a new sheet and now I've got 2 sheets

Knowing how the google sheets can be manipulated would also be useful.

Like:
-adding two sheets together
- can some readings that are anomalies be removed without screwing up the file etc.

I've not had the chance to test it yet because I don't want to waste the time spent logging the data.

Wondering if anyone has experience with the google sheet files it produces?

Yeah power up phone and it should connect and keep on. That’s how my android works. If you are careful you can merge both sheets.

If it disconnects, solve the issue (charge), then toggle off/on the two logging switches and it starts right back where it left off.

Two sheets can be merged. When the ferment is complete copy the data from the donor sheet (from the data tab) and paste it in the destination sheet’s data tab.
