Dialled up my regulator to carb some beer the other day, the gas started flowing and then a sound like the last gasp of the co2 tank and the tank pressure on the tank dropped to zero. I've just starting kegging and did initially turn it on at max psi by mistake :rockin: ....but thought I shut it off quick enough to not lose all my gas. I also weighed it a few days ago and it was a few kgs above the tare weight. Thought oh well it must be empty.

Went to disconnect it this morning, decided to test it just in case and its now letting out gas again....

Does anybody have any idea how it could drop to nothing then start up again?
Very confused altogether....

a few kgs above tare weight? 1 kg=2.2 lbs, so sounds like you had plenty of CO2. How big is your tank? Was you tank really cold when it had its "last gasp"?

Tank is 5kg, wasn't really cold, pretty positive there's no leak. I'll weigh it again tonight, haven't weighed it yet to check if it's definitely empty
