I must be getting something wrong, in school, i was taught that Canada was a Country that is part of the continent named: "America".
Secret meat, rice, beans, bacon and All-Malt Porter mixed together. Bake with Porter-marinated bacon then wrap in Porter-soaked tortillas and additional Porter-marinated bacon strips. Finally, dip in beer-batter and deep fry.
this weekend she had spotted dick for the first time. She liked it, but said that it would be even better with some nuts in it. Spotted dick and nuts!!? Jesus, woman, you are insatiable!!

So why people from the USA are always calling themselves "Americans", we Canadians could as well then call ourselves the same way.
The same way it is said that people from Germany, France, Iceland, Belgium, Norway, Sweden and so on can be called "Europeans" because their respective countries belong to the continent of Europe.

Damn, touchy Canadians. We live in North America. Those of us south of Canada and north of Mexico live in the United States of America. Thus, we call ourselves Americans.
If we lived in the United States of North America, maybe we might call ourselves North Americans.
The bigger question is, what the hell does it matter?![]()
It would be cumbersome to call us "United States of Americans". Some people have suggested that we ought to call ourselves "United Statians" or something like that. This suggestion reflects an ignorance of the history of the new world. The United States of America is the only nation to use "America" in its name but not the only nation to use "United States".
I have always wanted to make philly cheese steak fries. Do you think that would make it on that site.
Maybe if you fried your potato pieces, then wrapped them in cheese, thinly sliced steak, bell peppers (they put those on cheese steaks, right?), then battered and deep fried them.
