I never use filters they make for bad brew. And if you guys would realize you are all doing it wrong and just do it my way there'd be no debate. :)

I agree. Never filter beer. And I AM doing it your way as far as you know.

There are the a$$holes and then there are the good at heart folks like us. There are more of us. A good filter is all that is necessary.

Agreed, almost everyone here has some interesting insight and the desire to share that knowledge.

Beyond site navigation fluency, the touchiness is the balance between the newer, nervous brewers that want instant feedback to their "unique" question and those seasoned HBTers that have forum fatigue from seeing the same panicky questions repeatedly. Degrees of patience. And like most everywhere else, the small percentage of jerks, new and old, will ruffle a few feathers. But, there is an equilibrium, those new brewers learn and help answer the newest, new brewers and so on and so on, a lot of good folks here.

Sorry for the momentary bout of seriousness in this thread, fart.

Good point Ischiavo. I see from your profile you're an electrician. I was for many years. Aircraft electrician and pretty good at it but have to admit AC in the home I've never quite understood. So simple on airplanes because pretty much everything is a ground.

Anyway. I learned a few things over the years about electricians. Good people, savvy, excellent trouble shooters, and use much common sense along with applied science to achieve the task at hand.

I cannot understand DC vehicle wiring. People always ask me for help on cars/trucks. It's greek to me but I can fix the wiring in your house right quick. It's just what you know and do.

Electricians are good folks. I've seen quite a few of your posts and I'm not surprised that you're a wireman.

DC is straight forward. Direct current seeks a ground. In a car pretty much everything metal is a return path.

I had no idea Glen Cambell sang a song about line-man electricians. Nice to be appreciated even if I'm not exactly a Lineman, just a simple aircraft electrician.

Yes, that's true Passedpawn. 115vac, 3 phase 400hz. Of course AC fed to transformer rectifiers convert the AC electricity into DC power Arhg.. I have forgot to many things. I let my fellow electricians down.

This only describes about 1/10th of the electricians in my city. I'm a building contractor, and I can't find a good electrician to save my life! The ones in my city all want to splice wires in the wall and then cover it up with sheetrock  It's called a junction box idiots! I can't count how many times an electrician almost burnt my job site down! I wish we had more guys like you all in my town!
