btw, is the FArkin Wootstout a rare or semi rare or just an average release and whats yalls take on it? so far ive drank 4 or more bottles and have at least 3 or 4 more at home, and plan to buy at least the 2 more i know that are at my(starting to be) go to store(mostliy because yall dont know it yet) who is trying real hard to be a good beer store(not as much as sunrise but getting some stuff ive never had like the wootstout and some deep ellum offerings).

I like it, probably more than this years(aka 2014) Abyss, and also better than regular Old Raspy(this year seems to be a lot of hop flavor in raspy)

which reminds me, anyone get last years BBA Old raspy?

For the $9 or so, it's great. My understanding was that there wasn't much of it going around, but it doesn't exactly seem to be setting the shelves afire. That said, I picked up the last one from my HEB last week (after they sat there for a week and a half).

I like it a lot better than the last one we got (Woostout 1.0?)... it seems a lot less hot.

Just heard Hughie's Tavern was told they had 30 days to stop selling Crowlers. Agent disagrees with interpretation but had to enforce it.

yeah bought more bottles the other day, and found that rosedale market also still has some so no drought of them for sure.

good for me, bad for my wallet lol

It seems like places outside of Austin (Lonestar taps and caps, big hops) are still filling crowlers but I don't think Dallas or San Antonio see Cuvee black and blue can distribution. Am I correct about this? Guess I am going to have to give up on the dream of alternating between drinking live oak hef crowlers and black and blue cans while floating down the river.

There are still some places in Houston doing crowler fills and we get cans of Cuvee black and blue if you're still looking for someone to help with that.

Hi all, I'm new here and in search of the large Jester King long stemmed glass shown in my profile pic. My husband and I went to the brewery last year and bought 2, and then he proceeded to send one of them to his brother and break the other one. So yeah, now we have zero. We went back to the brewery recently and they no longer sell this particular glass. I would so love to be able to get this glass for him as a surprise. Does anyone sell stuff on here or it is just trading? I'd be willing pay a lot for it. He's got an awesome stash of beer and glassware but would kill me if I got into it and started trading stuff! Any leads would be much appreciated!

Sadly, no :(. They switched over to a short stemmed glass that is more like a cross between a tulip and a snifter. They're selling it on their online store if you want to see what it looks like. It's nice but I prefer the long stemmed one!

I just moved to Tyler from Fl. is there any chance there is good beer around? Better yet, are there any TB degenerates in the area who want to share a few bottles? I moved 14 cases of beer and need help drinking them.
Can't you just trade great BBQ for beer?

Used to live there. Know a few people still there. Beer scene is scarce but not the worst I've seen. Few breweries around. So so offerings from what I've had.

Just make weekend trips to austin. Its what Texans do.

Start the drive back to DFW on Tuesday. I can't wait to be back home.

Visiting Alpine for the last time today and am hoping to fill up a growler or two of Nelson as well as grab some bottles. I'm gonna miss this place.

Totally willing to split one of these growlers when I get back (15th of the month) if anyone is gonna be free that weekend and wants to show me some cool drinking spots.

Don't forget to get some BBQ while you are there. Their food was fantastic. Also, everyone in our group liked Bad Boy, Keene Idea, and Duet more than Nelson, though they were all pretty damn good. Bad Boy seemed to be the clear cut winner through. If they have Pure Hoppiness, it was damn good too. That was a fun day.
