When exactly, just keep in mind ACL is on the first two weekends of October.

Reiterating that St. Elmo should be on every visitor's itinerary. They're the sleeper hit brewery of Austin right now.
Ahh bummer. We'll be there during the beginning of that event. Hopefully downtown isn't too congested.

It’s congested when big events AREN’T going on.

It'll be a shitshow. Strongly suggest staying away from the immediate area around Zilker Park and downtown, Rainey etc.
Well hell. I wasn't sure were to book a hotel and figured downtown would be best, again with no idea of that event going on. Friday night we were planning on heading to Jester King, so hopefully we're going in the opposite direction of the crowds.

I’m kinda shocked that was still a thing. Is this the first year there is no share?
Yeah.

They also cut it back in the last couple years (didn’t let people start before 8am... ended at 11 or whenever bottle sales started.

Back in like 2010-2011 it was a race to get there first and post yourself on their porch as early as possible on the BA Southwest forum, lol.

I remember the rule about no more drinking on the porch but I feel like that was 4-5 years ago already. I just assumed they ended the share all together.

So who is going to Zwanze day, and who is going to Texas Craft Brewers Fest?

I'm excited to check out the Friday, Partners in Craft event this year.

How was Austin? Headed there Sunday for work...

Excellent. Jester King is one of the best spots to drink beer just about anywhere. Live Oak was also excellent. Picking up our pre-order of Franklins and crushing it along with Pilz and Hefe on Lake Travis was another highlight. Don't skip Valentina's brisket breakfast tacos (specifically The Real Deal Holyfield) and La BBQ either. All excellent.

In case you needed another reason not to buy Karbach (and I used to buy Hopadillo all the damn time...)

I'm sure they'll be selling this as "Texas beer" in other markets. I wanna say Karbach is in at least Florida.... not sure how many other states yet.

I converted to the dark side of bourbon and left the light of the beer world.

Only remaining beer I have is the most recent Cantillon 50N4E, a mag of A&G, and a 2016 Le Petit Prince from Jester King that I am convincing myself to save for a bachelor party share. ;)
Oh that reminds me. I have a magnum of Hyper Ultra force or whatever sitting in a dark corner at D&Q beer station

Is that going to hit Distro??? Please say it will.

What was the Bishops Barrell a long way back that was a Bourbon Barrel Aged Marzen?
