So this is happening.
Man. I need that so much.

Picked up a 4-pack at HEB.

Was kinda taken aback by the price at $14.99/4-pack.
They are 16 ounce cans, no? i saw that price on a 4 pack of 12 ounce cans at HEB.
Who packages 12 ounce cans in a 4 pack?! I didn't bother looking to see the brewery because I instantly put it down and walked away.

They’re 16oz cans, yes.

I'm trying to plan a trip where you hit Houston, San Antonio and Austin is one week. Looking for insight.
St. Arnold has a new beergarden with a ton of exclusive taps and the outdoor area has a great view of downtown Houston
Spindletap if you're into haze

Others I like: Eureka Heights, 8th Wonder. Brash is decent. Not too familiar with Houston beer bars these days since there's way too many good ones.

Is there a recent of good places in Houston?
So if you haven’t been to Houston before you should know that it’s ******* huge and one persons recommendations wouldn’t even work if you’re not in that specific side of town.

Lutter hit the big 3 but if you leave midtown/ downtown area there are also several other spots that may be under the radar and worth checking out.

I’ll blindly add

Saint Arnold is a great spot
Whole Foods on Post Oak (which is a couple miles from Central Market but about a 15 minutes drive due to traffic in that area) has Whole Foods Brewing Co and they put out some damn good ipas if you’re into that sort of thing.

There’s dozens of great BBQ places and hundreds of remarkable Mexican food places.

I just saw air post and he nailed a few breweries. For bars I’d say Hay Merchant (downtown) Petrol Station (North) and Nobi Public House (far south) are my three go when I’m out.

Honestly trying to make this list is making me realize how out of touch with beer I am these days. I pretty much stick to my own neighborhood cause I’m old and lame now.

Mongoose Vs Cobra was what I always liked most and also had a good time at Axelrad.

I get feeling out of touch and to elaborate on how I said there's a lot of bars... just as an example: look at how Ashford Pub (they always seem to be very Founders heavy and can guarantee they'll have KBS on regardless of season lmao) or Richmond Arms usually has very good tap lists and those are just kinda neighborhood hangouts. Factoring that in makes it hard for me to say which is the "destination" bar to hit these days because it really seems like every bar in Houston will have at least a decent to good beer selection.

I was going to be in Dallas this week for work but Monday morning we took my daughter to the ER (she is fine it was an inflammation in her stomach that shared all the symptoms of appendicitis so we were rightfully worried but it turned out okay) so they switched things up and now I am in San Antonio until Thursday evening on another project. I’m sitting at Anchor Bar in Schertz eating wings and crushing pints of Big Bend Hefeweizen.

I’ll be around town tomorrow evening if anyone wants to get a beer.

Sorry to hear about the little one, but glad to hear it was nothing major.
