It would be a lot more fun if you had mentioned this beforehand and maybe expressed interest in meeting some other TBers.
At least you have an avatar...

And the simple answer is likely Bangers, Hopfields, or Draughthouse, I think two or all do taplister or something.
The better answer is someone's house if you wanted to be cool like thrashD and get valet-service to a bottle share with homemade pork lasagna from mwbbq.

Well points for making me feel like a ******.
Had to make sure I was comfortable crushing 9 hours of driving to get here today. Semi-spontaneous.
If anybody is actually down for beers tonight, let me know. I have a bunch of **** from around the country with me.

Also is tap lister an app?

Taplister is an app. You can see draughthouse menu on their website.

Edit: Go a little further on your trip to Hattie B's hot chicken in Nashville. Amazing food and well worth the trip.

We passed Nasheville during the night on our way to Memphis. Hattie B's was closed. Central BBQ in Memphis was legit. Those ribs....

"Welcome to Austin, don't move here"

No idea. How far along are these in buildout?

City Acre is almost complete, i think. i need to email Matt to confirm.
I received an newsletter from them, they're hiring for a kitchen manager and bartenders..

All except 1-2 of these will probably suck.

Nice to see you guys are getting a Flix... I actually really enjoy most of their beer up here in Round Rock.

we'll see what happens. my friend wants to join that list and wants me to hop aboard....
don't know if i'm ready to serve neckbeards.

What's your source for all this? I'd like to keep an eye on Houston developments. It's so undeserved out here. I finally made it to Brash and a few weeks ago I ticked Spindletap. 2 very promising breweries.

My source is going out and talking to people. I met Matt and his wife when my friend and I attended CABtoberfest and been cool since. I've also been a regular @ Brandon's (D&Q) for 12 years and met quite a few peeps on this board thru him.
If it wasn't for that guy...I would probably still be drinking red-stripe and mickey's (which i have no problem drinking. LOL)

I can't quite explain it, but spindletap advertising HARD on the radio well before they even produced a beer or opened really turned me off. I haven't considered checking it out because of it.

But let's be real here, I don't ever leave my house anyways.

It's way out on 59. I hadn't heard anything about them but liked the name. I'll visit every brewery once. They had funds that they threw into the business off the bat. For only being open a few months I thought their first runs were a great starting place and I enjoyed the beer. It's one I'll go back to. Well sort of, I'm west side and it's a 45-50 minute drive.

I'd just like to keep tabs on which breweries in Houston are opening. I should make a map.

In town this week, finally tried a Spindletap beer. Honey Hole.

It was a mess. Seriously awful. Tasted like flaked corn and as if they used purified diacetyl instead of hops. Sweet and overly malty. As someone who drinks a lot of ESBs whenever I visit London, I have to say this was not an ESB. It was garbage.

I didn't get any diacetyl out of the sample i had. Maybe a batch variation. I've only been there once so my sampling history is very small.

That sounds a lot like the only beer I ever had from Fort Bend (RIP)

Anyone make it up to the Sputnik release at ABW in December and have an extra mug they would like to trade? Trying to grab one for a friend.

Fancy Sauce was much better - Prestige but with Nelson instead of Galaxy.

Man, I wanted to make it up for it but I had to work. My buddy said the same thing, though. I loved Prestige so I can't even imagine how good Fancy Sauce was. Hopefully they'll do it again soon.

And wasn't it Galaxy hop in the boil but then dry hopped with Nelson? Either way, two of my favorite hops so yeah, I'm jealous.

anyone else acquire today?

was contemplating buying a few today when i was @ Brandon's...but im getting tired of big beers, man :-/

that said...if i so happen to roll thru a bar with it on tap, i'll buy a pour.

I have several Houston customers. Just not this trip. :(

:-*

Next time! I've been wanting to meet you. You're on my list. ;)

late reply...but whenever blue_bleeder visits, we need to hit the range!

Hey Austin, in town for a conference through Friday and beermenus has no sightings of Yellow Rose. Hoping to land a bottle, staying next to convention center, but can cab within reason. If any recent shelf sightings i'd love a little help. And would buy you a beer at BangersThursday night if you're out. Cheers!

East1stgrocery can you hook this man up?

Either way, flabbyjandro hit up Sam at E1G... they'll have most of the beer you're looking for and are near downtown. (it's prolly less than 2 miles from the convention center area).

Banger's or Craft Pride on Rainey should have it on tap.
