I'm giving Adam Avery a bunch of **** for this next time I see him.

Hmmm, I thought it was discounted....maybe it was full price because it was right before the first set of bottles was released.

I could be wrong. I just thought I'd read somewhere that they would be reopening but at the same rate. So sort of an "act now" if you want the best overall value when it first opened up this year. We should be getting the next member bottles soon. The first one was a bit of a disappointment, IMO, but that's entirely subjective.

Does anyone know when/if Mikkler vikings club will be open again? Really have been loving all the stuff I have had from them this year and don't have any non sour beer memberships.

The top tier berserker has yet to receive the first round of bottles. Shoot them an email still might be open.

Wasn't the first set of bottles released to us back in July? I know Beserker's get a couple more but the first viking set was released already.

Also their webpage says it is closed for the year.

No additional bottles for the top tier yet, but yeah, the first round was released June 30 IIRC, with a month pickup window.

You are totally right I forgot about that beer woops.

Any extras or leads for Zwanze Day let me know please. Will be in SD this weekend. If not I'll be at Toro on Friday if anyone is around to link up.
Even if you don't get tickets, you're usually able to get pours of the leftovers after the event's over - so it might be worth it just to show up.

Reminder, hoping to meet up with you delinquents tomorrow at 7pm at PPOB.

I am going the other direction and playing DD (for once) for the better half for some scotch tasting/pairing in Encinitas. Just need to think of how to kindly drop her off and then go kick it at EAH, have a burger and beers, and watch the Padres game.

any thoughts on whether the Pure Project bottle club is worth $350 next year? Anyone in it now?

Have to agree that Pure Project is just not worth it. A friend of mine has their membership this year and I've attended every single can prerelease on Thursdays with him. Almost every single hazy IPA I've had from them was messy, poorly executed, and just not good overall. Even the collab beers with people like Beachwood, Alvarado Street, etc. all have been bad.

They even managed to screw up a mosaic and galaxy IPA somehow...

That is just their IPAs. My friend already had to return one of their barrel aged beers that was part of the membership due to contamination.

Like has been previously stated; based on everything that has been released so far from them I don't know how this price is justified. But to each their own.

On this topic, just noticed that Pure Project has a saison called La Vie an Rose...Surely they know of Jester King right?
