Forgive me, because there's not hatred towards you.

It's frustrating to see you constantly sing praises of a place that, 1)doesn't treat their employees well and 2)has previously punished their employees for the very things you brag about on here.

I apologize and am currently "having a pint" that you suggested. I do get defensive, but maybe if you had more than "new AleSmith" history, you'd understand where I'm coming from.

Cheers

That very well could help, I have roughly 7 years of Alesmith history but can say that for the first few years the history consisted of "this is going on soon" "really? awesome, thanks".

I know there are ppl that don't like it, I mean, there has to be a reason for the current exodus and previous ones...but I also am not privy to those reasons, nor do I ask those that are leaving. The way I see it, if it was negative, I have no reason to ask since it may bring up bad feelings. If those wish to discuss it then I try to change the topic to something more positive since we are usually drinking, and while I don't know how alcohol consumption may affect others, it makes me a mood enhancer. So if I was drinking and discussing something negative it would be all down hill from there and include a lot of "**** this and **** that" which would make me not a pleasure to drink with. So in case others are mood enhancer drunks I rather us not go down that path and instead remain happy.

Edit: Also my Alesmith trip today for lunch was for a buddy that had his last day of work today and is leaving the country for good in a few weeks. Not sure why I ahd to justify my trip, but just in case...there it is.

Am I ******* wrong?! Seriously!

I will side with you on this issue this time, but only because I too had a negative experience that resulted in me being bit by a Doberman rescue. Of course I was wearing reinforced pants so I didn't notice the dog had pierced the skin until the sting didn't go away. Of course by that time the owner and dog had left since the owner realized the dog was over threshold and it was loud, so no name of owner, nobody knew who he was, and since a rescue there were only about a billionty places to call and it seemed almost all of them adopted out a doberman recently. So of course that went nowhere in order to obtain paperwork and just verify the dog had his shots. So no paperwork which meant I had to get a shot just in case....forgot how much those tetanus shots hurt.

Either way, I can say that I did nothing wrong except for not noticing the dog didn't want to be there anymore. This was at SD Beer Works on a friday night, so those that have gone know how small and loud it can get when it is packed. Pet the dog on his side, licked me, things were fine. He seemed to be smiling. Grabbed my pint off the counter and took a sip and then he lunged at my leg. So either he wasn't done with me petting him or the motion of my hand lifting by my head drinking while my better half was standing next to me made it seem like I was going to hit her. So the only thing I could think of was this dog was abused, and likely came from a home of domestic abuse. So because of that I actually no longer meet dogs at tasting rooms unless I knew them before.

My fist wtf moment Pizza Port Bottle shop. They only got 5 cases of Logical Choice and their only selling it in singles for $5 each.

How much was a 6er at alesmith?

I already asked the SF thread, but what are the non obvious best beer bars or dive bars in SF?

Noc Noc next to Toro is always great and will have some surprises. I like Molotovs while I'm there too. Page St is one of my favorite. They have great beer and shot pairings (Feildwork Pils and a nice Tequila, yes please). Great Mexican place next door too. Zeitgeist has probably already been mentioned. If you cross the bay Beer Revolution is one of my favorite places in the world.

Seriously? The poster and the social posts they put out said you could do either sixer or individual. And only five?!? Guess I'm heading down to Mexico tomorrow instead of the bottle shop:mad:

Neighborhood roll call for tomorrow?
This event sounds awesome. The unlimited beer that is included with the event is kinda ho-hum, but there's some bomb ass **** on tap inside (for a cost of course.)
