Hmm. You should also consider Amplified, Pure Project, Mikkeller, and about 130 other breweries around SD bedsides BP.

Sorry for the real talk.
Many of the smaller breweries in Miramar are not open on a Wednesday, and those who are, are only open until 7 or 9 or sumshit which impedes my ability to do SOME SERIOUS ******* DRINKING.

Besides, I like BP. #sorryforpartying

Hey, at least I'm not going to Green Flash. Again. Man, that was a mistake last time.

That's not advocacy, or something. Respect beer.
It's a fuzzy line. Are the people who benefited from the BP sale just straight up persona non grata now? Can I never patronize anything they ever do for the rest of their lives? I mean, you won't ever catch me at 10 Barrel, but lets be honest - I wouldn't turn down an Even Keel when tailgating.

It's pretty grey imo

grey AF for me too. BCBS is too damn good to give up.

That's not in an ethically gray area as Tyrsis was referring to, that's a straight up conscious decision to buy an ABInBev owned beer because you like it. I don't really give a **** what other people choose to drink but it's entirely different from supporting a new venture from people who sold a brewery to a macro/non-craft entity.

I was saying the exact same thing he was. I don't really seek it out anymore but if its there I will definitely drink it.

It's not grey. You just don't care.
You're right, I don't research who owns every product I buy, and to single that out to beer is hypocritical to me personally so **** it I drink what I like.

And that is why big beer is going to really hurt the little independents. When it comes down to it, people don't care.

Yep, the general public couldn't give a **** and there aren't enough of us "beer geeks" to put any sizable dent in their bottom line so why deny myself delicious beer?

If the quality's there, should we care? Maybe I'm just a pessimist, but big beer is hated not because of their morally questionable business practices, but because their morally questionable business practices are more publicized than those of Joe Sixpack's ****** underground nanobrewery.

This whole "with us or against us" mentality with craft beer really rubs me the wrong way, because it often fosters a blind sense of camaraderie simply based on common interests. It's a dichotomy that's entirely too rigid and not only hurts craft beer in the long run, but also alienates any of those ambivalent types hardcore.

So much this!

Yes, you should care. Big beer is looking a decade down the road. They're slowly acquiring regional breweries and building them up. It's a slow churn that will change suddenly.

In SD you may not notice it since there are so many breweries and craft beer bars. In other markets it will severely limit an independent brewery's options. But go ask the owner of your favorite brewery and ask how they feel about it. At the end of the days it's their brewery on the line.

Geez, all this because I'm taking my colleagues to BP? Awright, awright, I won't go!

I don't care if you go to BP. Do you, Henrik!

Everyone in here has to put their dick on the table at some point and more times than not, it revolves around Big Beer vs Craft. I really want everyone to put their dick away and talk about traffic again.

Genesee Ave. was massively ****** up this morning with the construction going on. They didn't alter the traffic signals to take into account all of the construction and traffic flow either.
