I ordered five four-packs from them this morning. Gonna be a NPBC kind of weekend.

Please provide reviews. I just picked up my MT order and a case of Timbo arrived on my doorstep, so I am more than covered for the weekend. Once this runs out then maybe I will do another NPBC order.

Mosaic Melody is ******* outrageous. It drinks like a scaled-down version of SMD, very much in the new school of WC hops, with that same restrained malt bill and massive hop character that leaps out of the glass with wave after wave of fruit salad. This is frighteningly crushable.

I very much have a love/hate relationship with mosaic. And it leans heavy on hate side. I have a love/love relationship with NPBC though, so excited to give this a shot and further my discord with said hop.

That'll be an interesting conundrum. The most recent batch of Party Cup was markedly better than any other batch I've had, and Mosaic Melody is even a step above that. They're absolutely nailing their Mosaic usage in crushable beers.

Also, Stratacadabra is excellent, albeit a slight step below SMD based on my first can. That said, it's a fantastic WC IPA, and being a slight step below the best WC IPA I've had in years still puts it at an extremely high level. Highly recommend getting in on both beers.

I agree that Mosaic Melody is a winner. Great aroma, nice mouthfeel, juicy but with a dry finish.

I also agree that Stratacadabra is quite good, especially for it being less than a day old. I look forward to seeing how it tastes in a couple weeks, if I don't drink all my cans before then.

Well crap! Karl Strauss mosaic is has been my favorite sd beer for a while now. My one complaint is I wanted it sub 5%. Does this mean I need to order some mosaic melody??

Love Party Cup so I got some Mosaic Melody, solid beer! My love for Party Cup might be stronger though. Had Rainbow Tears Pale Ale w/ 100% Strata from Taproom Beer Co and it was delicious, might have a slight edge on Mosaic Melody, different hops but both pale ales. Great to see sessionable beers with such awesome showcases of a great hop yield this year. Also crowlers at Taproom in NP are 40% off during 3-5pm (Happy hour), $6-7 crowlers before tax and tip is a steal.

The food is killer too

Such great news. It’ll be weird calling it McIlhenney Brewing but as long as the quality is there it won’t matter. What will also be weird is passing by the shell that is now Alpine Beer Company as we cruise over to the OG pub.

I'm excited about this but I wonder if their beer will live up to our rose-colored memories.

I also wonder if they'll focus on WCIPAs again and whether that would make them fly under the radar of new money.

I had those fears too, but I mean, all of the stuff Shawn brewed before he got unceremoniously shitcanned has been fantastic. IIRC, Dankster's Paradise is his recipe, and it is freaking fantastic.

I also remember like two years ago O'Brien's secretly getting a Shawn-brewed keg of Nelson somehow, and it was exactly how I remembered it.

I can confirm the batches of Nelson they occasionally brewed up the hill the last few years remained phenomenal.
