I forgot how good The Coachman is after finally making a long overdue visit to Societe yesterday. And same for RR Happy Hops after having it at O'Brien's.

I started discovering and actually going to breweries in '02. Brewing in '04. But just as SD was starting to get hot. People thought we were ******* crazy driving out to Alpine or San Marcos while living in PB.

I still remember my first Arrogant Bastard a buddy and I bought in a small corner shop in PB and we each drank 2 and were so ****** up.

I always thought I was late to the game in regards to really getting into beer and driving around checking out breweries. The Anniversary beer, Gateway, is awesome. Kolsch yeast IPA with hop haze and clean dry slightly bitter finish.

Wet Hop Citra at Resident is phenomenal. New Peach Saison is a bit more tart than I remember the Nectarine being. Still very tasty.

I feel like the move now is wait for leftovers the day after beer week events at any given bar/brewery. Maybe you miss out on a beer or two but you also miss out on the crowds.

Anyone going to Collabapalooza this year? Anyone go last year and have a report on it? Last year it conflicted with Woodshop and the Stone AHA rally but I'm curious about going to it this year.

It was the best festival I went to last year.

It’s great because Karl only invites who they like and breweries are stepping up their game this year. We brought two beers last year and we are bringing four this year.

Guys, you're doing this wrong. We're not supposed to hype PP. I went Sunday to get some over the falls and they were sold out already! We're dangerously close to the haze-bros switching over to clean West coast IPA.

I was burnt out and skipped it because I could. Enough of our peeps wanted to be there so I didn't. They loved it. I'll be there this year.

Edit: we did a Heather tip scotch Ale with SD Tap Room/Bill Batten.
