Yeah. Didn't they bring in a new brewer (from AleSmith?) to help turn around their beers?

Biggest surprise was OB Brewing

Yeah, Brian was the specialty brewer at AleSmith (and long time brewer/employee)! He’s really done some great things with their beers/recipes.

Edited to add: Brian is in reference to Kilowatt. Jim is the head brewer at OB (and super nice guy)!

Needy request: does anybody have a bottle of this year’s FO that could be parted with? Happy to swap with a sante cellar bottle or something along those lines. I spaced on grabbing one for a buddy who specifically asked for it, he’s in town visiting so I was hoping to be able to send him home with one.

Anyone going to Bagby Zwanze tomorrow? I seem to remember people bringing in and sharing some good lambic last year. Is that a thing or something that requires permission beforehand? I have a few nice bottles for such an occasion.

Yes, I'm going. Yes ppl still bring in bottles. No, permission isn't necessary.

I'm probably bringing a 2001 LPK and one of the OBD special bottles from 3F.

Well that’s rude. Dick swinging what bottles you’re bringing was just begging for the new guy’s follow up.

Hehehe, I just open them at the table and whomever wants it can cruise by and have some. The only thing I MUST do is give Jeff a pour of the LPK since he opened up an '02 (maybe '03) for us last year and I got a pour of that.

I'll likely try and get there to secure the large table in the middle inside. Probably look super tired due to driving back from LA around 3am this evening.
