Do people actually want all that ****? Records? Stickers, patches. Magnets.

seriously, what is this?

I read all of that and think, "Oh, $150 for one beer. lol k"

I like how it reads like the copy writer for MT tries to sound like Societe.

Seriously.

FELLOWSHIP OF THE BEARD
Humans are communal creatures. From the earliest days of our evolution we’ve banded together to explore and experience the world around us. From the plains of Africa to ancient Mesopotamia to the Inca to the Victorians to today, our drive to coalesce and converge is a defining mark of our character. Just how we organize ourselves varies, yet at the core of each ensemble is humankind’s unyielding spirit of community. For us at the Beard, the Delinquents Club is a unique kind of community – one where delinquents from all walks of life can enjoy an artfully crafted beer while finding respite, repose, engaging conversation, and a good laugh in the company of their fellow miscreants. May craft beer and community be the ties that bind us all!

This is the kind of stupid **** that normal people make fun of beer people over. It's peak neckbeard, and I can't even begin to fathom who thought this kind of copy was a good idea. I suspect these places have contracted some ********, basic-bitch marketing agency to handle their branding, and this is the faux-edgy, cookie-cutter diarrhea they **** out for every single place.

And everyone wonders why I'm so ******* grumpy about beer. jfc.

True. And yes, fine with a cash grab so long as I feel like I at least get my money's worth in guaranteed product and access. Which is the case with some. Some, not so much.
Wild Barrel heavily falls in the not so much category lol. Almost august and we haven't got **** just the chance to buy a couple IPA in person and 10% off. Hoping they wisen up and extend this membership 6 months into 2019 and make it a mid year signup membership.

I'm not in the their club but I have spoke with Bill and it will be extended. They are not wanting to rush anything.

That is great news on both fronts. Just wish they would drop us a line at least once a month letting us know what was happening. Even if there isn't much news, at least let us know they are still thinking about us lol.

if you're not at the Doctor Bill super cool club, you don't get **** bro

I'm in the Burning Beard club because I enjoy supporting them. That's sorta the whole point. It's not your typical membership but who cares, nobody's got a gun to your head to join. Pretty sure Jeff writes the copy, and he's a different cat. So what. The folks over there are definitely not trying to be like anyone, which is why I like hanging there as much or more than the beer itself. The only neck beard thing about any of this is constantly shitting on other people's ideas.

Y'all could do with some positive vibes every now and then. Guess I'll check out for a while..again.

So does your poop sparkle afterwards?
Asking for a friend.

No. I was like afterward and not even a little bit of a sparkle. Besides from the appearance of the beer and effect on drug efficacy you all mentioned earlier, another thing I noticed was the beer tasted way better before the glitter. Why isn’t their more nerdy discussions on the flavor impact of glitter??!!???!!!! It muted the hops.

On another note, you are all too nice about Intergalactic. Breweries like these fail ultimately because their beers suck. People trek to the middle of nowhere if the beer is good (Hill Farmstead, De Garde, Alpine, Kern River). Every beer I tasted there tasted terrible.

I have visited Bearning Beard once. I really wish it was closer to me, that way I could get there more often. Everything about that place I enjoyed. Hopefully at some point they can move north. Also, I enjoy your postings, hope you stay around.

Another brewery that distributes nowhere and has basically no presence. Ain't nobody going to El Cajon. People can buy their club all day, and I can call it stupid as **** all day.

Love u Ben

That is what I was referring to when I called some breweries "destination" types. No matter where they're located, people will travel to them for the beer because it's so good. The beer doesn't have to be on that level if you're located in a more neighborhood-like setting where you're more of a weekend happy hour watering hole. If you're making neighborhood quality beer but situated on the same road (more or less) as some of the best breweries in the city, you're in trouble.

Intergalactic was a nano, I think it's really difficult to make the jump to a larger brewery. 2 have been successful? Hess and Council?

With so many breweries operatingaking good or great beer isn't enough. It's a competitive business and an owner really needs to focus on other business aspects like marketing, growth, investment etc...

I'm amazed by how many people are still trying to open breweries given the saturated market. Difficulty in getting tap handles on in bars and how difficult it is to open satellite tasting rooms.

It's difficult to open satellite tasting rooms? News to me as new ones seem to pop up weekly.

Does Electric Brewing distribute anywhere closer to San Diego, if at all? Feel like I've been hearing more and more about them and their beers look/sound good. Curious to try them out, but not curious enough to drive to Temecula for it.
