Has anyone checked out Bell Maker now that Noah and Nacho have been there a bit?

Not yet, I was trying to give them some time, especially after the announcement of Nacho joining. Maybe I will swing by before the next Padres game.

am I supposed to know what any of this means?

If you like Pizza Port, yes.
I like pizza port and yet here I sit...

So is it Bell Marker or Bell Maker? URL has it "Maker" but article refers to it as "Marker."

Either way, I'm beginning to accept that all these new breweries no longer appeal to our target demographic. By this point we're all grumpy old men who don't bother to check out new **** and are just fine with what we know.

Also, lately... **** will just come and go. You'll see something open and think "Oh, I may check that out next time I'm around there." Six months later, "THIS PLACE HAS CLOSED."

It's like, yeah okay... bye. I'll be at NPBC drinking Hop-Fu, IDGAF

Is Bell Maker have anything good on tap? I have a few more lunches downtown to kill.

Also, Thursday after Mapping Nerd Fest is over, I'll be back in NP for beers and dinner. Probably between Toro and NPBC. Get your asses over to say hi.

I also ticked tikis w/ Tyrsis @ False Idol, he's still as salty as the tikis are good.

Based on the reviews, the beers are pretty mediocre. Haven't had any myself though. Also I don't see a guest taplist either. I would just keep posting up either at The Local, Half Door, MonkeyPaw, or else Neighborhood.

Speaking of those places, anyone know how 10 Barrel is doing? Do they consistently draw a crowd? Has it hurt Monkey Paw's business, or is that too hard to gauge given the changes there?

I ask because my cousin went to Portland last weekend and talked about how she was going to hit some of the local breweries and ended up at ... 10 Barrel :(

Edited to add: *10 Barrel* looked packed two saturdays ago when I walked by... to head into punch bowl social. Monkey paw looked empty.

Isn't Monkey Paw going through some legal **** right now too after they sold to Coronado?

I just can't see those guys making mediocre beer but maybe they just don't care anymore. Also Untappd isn't exactly the best place to look as I rather have people on here and other people I know give me feedback. Since Phischy is a BJCP judge, it would be cool to get that perspective on their beers.

I enjoyed filling out my Alpine survey.

I got the "you might get" email, but did not get said email. Probably for the best. So much conflict. This batch of expo is my favorite (I know we say this almost every batch...but srs.) Broken Tiles is back, new era Alpine banger. Got the protip that Duet on a couple weekends ago was brewed up the hill. Such a great beer when it's allowed to be. Haven't had a drop of Duet since the first big batch in Mira Mesa.

New ownership has a great opportunity but not optimistic.

Extra layer of ****** feels when friends are involved. Great beer still being made up there. Let it shine.
