Damn, that menu does look quite nice. Although the beers being brought are more on the subpar side of things for my tastes.
Yea, I just noticed they switched to lower-tier beers than their original post. *********.

Hot Snakes at the Casbah tonight!

I may swing by MT on the way down if anyone is around...

FYI: Toronado’s email today mentioned some special out of town guests coming by for Duvel night who were in town for the Hot Snakes show tonight. I’m planning on going to Bottlecraft but drinking with Rick Froberg @ Toro has me intrigued.

Wow, how did I not know Hot Snakes were a local band? They defined some of my college years.

Speaking of local bands, I just found out Unwritten Law is from Poway and they'll be playing their Black Album on 4/21. I won't be at Ocelot's anni, but I sure will be at the Observatory on 4/21.

I'll probably go to that show.
My friend Red grew up and toured with all those guys back in the day.

Our local music isn't that great but there have been some great bands, some of which have made it nationally.

Probably the biggest is Mighty Joe Young who ended up changing their name to Stone Temple Pilots.
Holy crap I did not know this. Just saw STP at the Observatory on Sunday night with their new singer from Dry Cell.

Jewel!
Jason Mraz!

Isn't Jewel from Alaska, and Jason Mraz from Hawaii?

Also, you fuckers forget Blink 182?

Great local indie/punk scene in the later years too - Crocodiles, Wavves
