"St. Martin’s stated goal is between $100,000 and $250,000."

"In January 2017, we opened a very large (6,600+ square foot) satellite tasting room in the "BeeraMar" area of San Diego right on Miramar Road across the street from the main gate to MCAS Miramar. Sales are softer than predicted. This second tasting room has been operating at a loss for the year, and without additional funds to keep it going, may have to be closed."

I honestly thought the whole point of their joint venture at AtEase Games was to combine beer and games....yet, games cannot cross the threshold into the brewery and beer cannot cross that same threshold back into AtEase. Can't bring any alcohol into AtEase so not like you could bring in a 6pk to share while gaming. Although you can bring in personal games to BarrelHarbor. But their tables are not adequate enough for a 6hour Arkham Horror session...so you know....it was bound to fail. Much like my quest to find a new DM so I can start playing again....

I like my Blanton’s neat.
Made an old fashioned out of Dickle Rye recently and very happy with the result. I’m thinking Friday night I’ll make an old fash from Dickle and aomething more expensive and do it blind... sounds like fun
I'm not a fan of Dickel - I always end up getting pickle brine and cat piss notes from it.

That's a good idea though on the blind tasting. Those are always fun to do.

4? I’ve always done it with 3: Blanco Tequila (Corzo or Cabo Wabo), Grand Marnier (or Contrieau), & either fresh Lime Juice or Rose’s Sweetened Lime. Equal parts of each.

What’s your 4? And your ratios?
You're right, it's three - I had simple syrup as an ingredient in my head too for whatever reason.

I'm interested to see how successful most of those Beeramar breweries are. Aside from the big hitters, that stretch of road just seems like an altogether terrible, out-of-the-way location for any real consumer-oriented watering holes to thrive.

Speaking of Beeramar, has anyone checked out Lost Cause Meadery yet? I guess they're having their public grand opening this weekend, but I've heard nothing but gushing praise from a few random folks who've stopped by.

Their **** sounds very tasty, I need to visit. Newtopia as well.

AtEase/Barrel Harbor being in one of the worst locations too. Can only get to it if you are traveling north on Camino Ruiz off of Miramar, or else West on Miramar. Obviously can get to it traveling east on Miramar but no safe turn. Sadly the buildings off Activity don't connect all the way through.

As for Lost Cause, nope, but I ate there when Serpentine opened up. Newtopia is good but more on the sweet side. The clientele though....Mmmmm....scripps ranch soccer moms.

They were on groupon not all that long ago, too. May still be. Backs up my theory that Groupon = the end is near.

Speaking of playing games. I just got Rising Sun and want to give it a go. Any upcoming nights work for you?
