Is anyone here a member of the CWA membership? Where are you at with beers you were promised?
I still don't understand them. They just bottled two beers - but also asked for help from FB randos for bottling. That's not really common for a professional business that already took money for a membership, is it?

LOL good luck have fun with that!

Oh, I'm not.
1) I don't spend money on beer clubs
2) That dude is a snake oil salesman

I'm asking because some rather curious info has landed in my lap and before I start a **** storm, I'd like to hear from someone about where they're at with fulfilling their commitment(s). If they've stepped up and actually started getting people who paid them, their bottles, then I'm going to take my info and keep it to myself.

A few buddies signed up for the CWA membership, and iirc they have received 2 bottles of the same beer. I think they might have also received glassware. This is also after a 1.5-2yr waiting period since money left their accounts.

Based on the IG photos, Cameron seems to have dumped more beer than has gone out for public consumption. I know that BCLPM had a keg on a while ago, I do believe Toro did as well. Not sure how it was received, but I haven't seen anybody raving about it.

Yeah, you should definitely release that info. IMO the "club" is a total sham just like his cooking for people at Burning Man and then not delivering food was a total sham. Dudes a scammer.

OK, confirmed with a buddy that is in it.

He has received batch 1 and batch 2 of their core beer, so I guess the base. 1 of each, with the option to buy an additional bottle of batch 2. He has also received glassware.

He joined the same time he joined the Mikkeller Viking club, and come April/May they are starting on their 3rd year of membership.

Thanks for the info. Can you ask a couple more questions for me?
1) Was there a timeline for delivery of product?
2) What were the details of the membership? Ie: how many bottles and in correlation with any timeline?
3) has he tried to get any members to renew memberships/give more money?

1. He doesn't recall a timeline ever being given but says due to how long ago it was he cannot recall exactly. Also at work so unable to do a search through email history.

2. 10 bottles, 1 glass, 1 tshirt, member events (additional cost for ticket), first right of refusal for $200. It is the same as they have listed on their website. http://www.californiawildales.com/member/

3. No additional funds have ever been requested nor forcing to renew.

Edit: That is all I was given. If we need more info he can send it to me once he is off work for the day and near a computer.

Thanks, dude. I appreciate it! I may have a couple more questions, but I'll message you if need be. Thanks again!
Edited to add: I hope they have, at the bare minimum, been in communication with their members. Hwoever, based on all the, "following this post to find out about bottles" comments that seem to litter their facebook page, I'm struggling to believe they're being forthcoming with info!

I hope you will be forthcoming with this nugget of information you are protecting :)

Agreed. Just looking at their wall, it's interesting that they're selective about their responses, e.g. they leave "when are your bottles coming?" questions completely unanswered.

...and by interesting, I mean kind of ****** up.

I agree. And I'm real curious now about the fine print when people signed up? Has anyone asked for their money back? I'd be super pissed if I spent $200 for two bottles and a glass.

So not sure if this is it, but he apparently has enough beer to sell kegs but not provide members bottles. Hmmmmmm.

He's what CWA posted on BA last month:

"Sorry for the late response. Haven't been on this site in a while.
All of the member beer is about to be bottled this month and next month.

We're still trying to get this place established ie figuring out cash flow has been difficult for us. We're about $100,000 into this project, so far.
We have been kegging some beer this past year and establishing some local beer accounts. That was a bit of a mistake Cash flow wise on our end.
Looking back, we should have just immediately started bottling Instead of kegging initially.
The great news is the barrel aged beer is tasting awesome and we're really excited to be moving forward. We do plan on throwing in extra bottles to compensate for this excruciating long delay on our end. We do thank you for the support and patience."
