Once you are on the parking lot you can even crack a line beer or get your share started while waiting to order food. The only new rule I have seen imposed was you have to wait until you round the corner, or your party does, in order to go and grab a table.
The first few weeks they were even handing out beers in line while you wait, IIRC.

Random: where can I go right now and walk in for a flu shot? I'm heading to Disneyland for the weekend and I don't want to catch superAIDS

Trying to gage interest in a (mini?) bottleshare this Saturday afternoon (~2pm?) at the Lafayette Hotel.... planning to crack a bottle of Izzy and some other whalez (b1 DDG? b1 FO?) for my 40th before heading out to North Park for a night of debauchery.... need some #TalkBeer nerdz to geek out with me, msg me (or reply) if u like to drink #rarebeer with complete strangers during the daytime

Now I really wish I'd checked a bag with some bottles. Generous offer!

S&S taps at Lost Abbey tomorrow morning, for anyone planning to come down after the first hour for leftovers:
Dead Man’s Game
Santa’s Reserve w/ Cinnamon, cacao nibs and vanilla
Bourbon Barrel Aged Serpent’s
Red Poppy
Barrel 1892
Ad Idem
Duck Duck Gooze

Also if anyone wants to share some bottles afterwards, either around San Marcos or somewhere within an Uber of there, I've packed a couple of things (Coconut B-bomb, some Cloudwater and Magic Rock BA stuff form the UK)

I might try to make it up there at some point. Have a workshop from 9-11 and am free outside of that. Getting food poisoning last night has pretty much killed my day today, but I'm hopeful I'll be back in the mood for some beers after a good night of sleep and a lot of water to rehydrate.

Didn’t realise you were down, would be good to share a beer or two.

I love Nate as much as anyone but explain to me how he deserves to be at #1? Especially over the extremely hard working 2nd, 3rd & 4th on this list?!

It's a stupid thing to list. All the ones listed are great and there are plenty of other great and even greater ones. I can't even rank the top 4 Pizza Port OB bar tenders. All fantastic and worthy of best in the city. Same with Colin at Newport Pizza (that the most obscure name drop in this thread?) They should rename it "bar tenders with the most Instagram followers". Which is fine.

Thanks to the fog my flight just got diverted to Ontario. Thanks SD

That happened to me once when flying back to SD from Oregon. Plane tried to land three times, but the fog was too dense, and we were diverted to LA. Then they got us a bus to complete the trip, which wouldn't have taken too long since it was midnight, but somehow the driver drove North for the first hour... I was so mad.

Sage (and anyone else): any interest in meeting up at Toronado later? Or another location if you've got preferences, Toro is just relatively convenient for me travel wise (didn't end up renting a car because reasons). Finally feeling better and want to enjoy some of my limited time left. I'll need to make a pure vacation trip back at some point.

Sure! What time you thinking? I need to grab some food sooner than later, so if you don’t mind I’d like to hit up Tiger Tiger or Rip Current or North Park Beer Co to eat first and then head over to Toro. (All are within walking distance of Toro.)

I'll let you know, plans might have changed a tad. Got a message from an old college buddy that he just landed in SD a little while ago so we are going to meet up. Hoping to convince him to grab an Uber or whatever up there but there's possibility we stay closer to downtown. If so, I may still go to Toro later (he's got plans around 8) for beers, or maybe tomorrow for lunch. I'll update shortly.

I regret spending all these years not appreciating Pizza Port enough. Tuff, Queen of the Coast, and All of My Tomorrows are amazing.

Update: having a beer or two with my buddy at Local since he didn't want to leave the downtown area (meeting a girl back at his hotel in a bit, lucky bastard). I'm about a 30 minute bus ride from Toro, so if you want to meet up for a beer around maybe 7:30 I'm down. If that's too late, totally understand.

Nope, 7:30 is perfect!
