After drinking way too many Alesmith Spezial Pils cans the past week I am gonna say it's my fav pils in SD. Still love Heiress and Normcore but this stuff is canned and everywhere. Is it a year round? Hope so.

Yes, it is year-round. It made it to the year round regular offering this year. Big fan as well.

Attn SD peeps: as some of you know, I will be in SD (again) May 24-28. While my schedule is fluid due to work and the presence of the wife, one itinerary item is beginning to coalesce: if my flight arrives on time, I'll take a few colleagues with me to Alesmith and the Miramar area in the evening of Wed May 24. So if anyone wants to come by and say hi - please do! I figure the best way to beat jetlag is just to start drinking as soon as I land, right?

Will keep you updated as I know more about the schedule, but visits to the Ocean Beach and North Park areas in the evenings are probably on the cards.

If Russian River was my local these days, I would buy growlers of Pig, put those in my fridge, and hang out at Moonlight because people have ruined Russian River

and because Brian Hunt is my spirit animal...though the bar staff told me he's rarely around. Seriously him and Mark Jilg...da bessss.

My turn!

If Russian River was local, I would race to 100 untappd checkins of Blind Pig, and then buy #allthePig and open up a BBQ joint called Blind Smoked Pig.

Let me know when you are in OB. I would most likely be down for meeting up

If you just get there at 6 you should be fine for sitting space for food.

The better half and I would get there around 7, order, and be eating out back with the share. Ppl tend to not sit at the tables that are back there, of course thinking that the attendance at this one may be a tad bit more than the previous shares.

I really wish MT would install one of those but when I brought it up to Jacob he made it sound like it was cost prohibitive to install.

They almost always have cans of their standard beers, plus growler takeaways of that for all. Adding another take-away option seems like it would hinder the staff being able to serve efficiently.
