Huge lemongrass and ginger. Hardly tart. More of an american adjunct wheat beer:

Ok, we got some pink drank up in here. Pretty awesome aroma. Taste is acedic

oh look, now we are drinking straight vinegar mixed with pickled olives. Who brought the brine instead of blueberries? At least it looks decent

yay. dogfish head chicory stout but over-carbonated and less flavorful

How's the D'Extra doing? I think I have one 2007 left. Being re-released this year, so there's that!

Hold the ******* phone. They're rebrewing D'extra!!!???????? It's my favorite DFH beer and I've sent many emails to DFH pleading for it's return. '05 and '06 were great and '07 was drinking a tad over the high a year ago but still really solid. Always wanted to try it fresh.

I've never had it fresh, but I imagine it's a booze-bomb like Olde School and 120 are fresh. I had the '05 this year and it was still noticeably better than the '07, which I had side by side.

Oxidation definitely helps D'extra out. WWS, 120, and OS are all amazing with multiples years on them but I still dig trying them super hot and fresh. It's crazy how much those beers change.
