I'll be in Cuyahoga falls this upcoming weekend, first time to Ohio. Really thrilled about it since I've never been to Ohio. Any thing I definitely need to check out? I may make the trek to Jackie o's but it's farther than I initially thought.
Kent is pretty close to Cuyahoga. Bottles 101 is a good shop with a good bar/tap list, taco Tontos is an awesome burrito shop that has a small but solid tap list. Rays place is a decent restaaursnt with good taps as well. It's a college town but with thanksgiving being this week it should be pretty laid back.

Looking to pick up some Bodhi and regular IPA on my way through Columbus tomorrow or Saturday. I'm used to grabbing a few sixers of Columbus IPA at a random Kroger or Meijer, but this is my first trip since Bodhi has been bottled; any suggestions? I'll be heading up I-71 from the south to 270, to I-70 east. Thanks.

The Kroger on Chambers Rd in Grandview isn't too far out of your way and they always seem to have it on hand. When I was in there earlier this week, there were 5 or so cases stacked in the beer section.

It's gotten much easier to find since they've been bottling it regularly for a few months. At first it sold out immediately, but people have calmed down now so it tends to be fairly easy to find.

None at Chambers Rd, Grove City or one other Kroger I don't recall east of the city just off of I-70. Chambers Rd did have plenty Backwoods Bastard though so it wasn't a total loss. We drove through last night around 11pm so couldn't check out any craft beer stores.

hi gents, ur boy catlicks is moving to cleveland in a couple months. just wanted to say hi. i recognize a few of the names, so maybe we'll end up havin' a cold one. are there any other threads i should keep an eye on?

If anyone thinks they are going to miss this and want stuff let me know, I'll probably be only getting a bottle or two and by no means will be maxing out (will be grabbing the Port though)

Definitely wanted to head back down but don't feel like standing in line for hours to possible get bottles lol
If you're talking ab WR bottle release, that shouldn't be a concern. Last time, I went at 2:30 after work and easily got a full allotment. I expect this to be the same. Unless they're releasing a super limited beer, I.E. that "lambic", there's no reason to rush. Releases are something they've really excelled at

How were the Dire Wolf variants this weekend? Didn't make it due to battling a vicious cold but curious as people on untappd didn't look too impressed..

Rum Line was fantastic. Perhaps a little less coffee-forward than the bottles from last year, but that might make it more appealing for some.

Port Barrel was decent from a change-of-pace perspective. Much more subdued flavor than the Sherry Barrel, which was very polarizing. I dug it, but I was the outlier amongst the folks I was with.

Didn't actually try the straight Bourbon barrel version, as between the timed taps and traveling from the Tap Room to the "Other Side" there were too many other things I wanted to taste first.

Too lazy to search and see if this has been covered already...

Hitting Fat Heads (taphouse, not pub) in a few days. Want somewhere in that area to get a cocktail and decent dinner as well. Any suggestions would be great.

If you're looking for really good cocktails, Velvet Tango Room is supposed to have some of the absolute best. I don't drink liquor so I can't speak to the quality, but all I hear is that they're amazing. Some great restaurants close to there too (Bar Cento, Fahrenheit, Parallax)

hello not very active thread--i'm heading back up from columbus to ann arbor sunday and decided to grab a ticket for the hoof hearted release as i'll be driving right by. how do these releases go? is there a line, or can i just cruise in at any point in the time block? i don't necessarily feel like sticking around.

Seems like the later you go, the odds of a line go down. Even if there is a line, it's been moving quick the last few times I've gone.

At Konkey they had a can only line, not sure if that will continue or not.

speaking of -- was heading down to hoof from cleve to pick up cans at the brewpub this weekend, so I'm looking for a ticket. if anyone has one and can't make it, please pm to work something out.

The roller Blabe release is at thebrewery in Marengo which is about 30 minutes north of Columbus. The brewpub in downtown Columbus has random cans but it's usually stuff that is brewed at the pub.
