Might as well point this out here too

Gross.

What am I looking at here?
This guy takes home between $127-$135, and ships out $20 worth of beer and glass?

I hope someone from Washington state wins.

I hope no one wins and that guy just runs off with the money, because anyone that would enter into that is a ******* idiot

Agreed, but if you're a beer fan on the west coast, or wherever, and you hear all this hype about FBD, you can almost understand entering this (I wouldn't - I don't even trade beer). The only way to get FBD is to visit CT on a very particular day of the year, unless you're in the area when it hits bars on tap (not too likely for most beer fans from thousands of miles away).

My conclusion: the guy who is profiting off this **** doesn't even deserve to step foot into NEBCO again.

Looks like I'll be able to swing by around 4:30. Any guess at the wait time? Any stores nearby I might be able to find Sip? I realize it's a long shot. I'll be wearing a TalkBeer shirt and CT Tigers hat.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if its less than 2 hours. As tehzachatak said, godspeed. Edit - what MooltiPass said. I forgot about that minimal wait last time (I got there a little later than he did).

Can't answer the SoS question. I don't even know the last time they came out.
Is that a private Fb group just for doing bro-uchey stuff like this?
Yes.

Sip only went out to bars this week, no cans, so it's highly unlikely you'll find any. As to a wait time there's no real way to guess. Could be around 3 hours, could be an hour, maybe less.

The new tap room makes it hard to say for certain since they've got way more lines and will presumably have a lot of them set for Ducks fills, but since they announced the release on Monday it's likely to be crazy busy with people making longer trips in to the area for the beer.

I will say, last time around they had three dedicated lines pouring ducks and when I arrived at 5:30 or so I waited less than 30 minutes for fills. Things may go smoothly like that again, they may not, but there's going to be at least some amount of line and the safe bet is that it will be long.

I'm likely to show up around 5:30. I might wait even if there's a reasonably long line but I don't quite know how much time I'm willing to invest in getting more FBD since I had a bunch of draft pints of it last week.

How many lines does the new taproom have? They have six beers on today IIRC....

They have 12 lines for growler fills based on my count. I'd assume that FBD would be on more than two of them as well since that's obviously going to be the most in demand beer.

Oooh, sweet. That's great. Last time I was there for Ducks it was still 6, and Ducks was on 3, I think...

Yep, the last go around had half of the six tapes pouring ducks and it was the smoothest big release they've ever done for that beer, at least since crowds became a problem.

There's going to be some serious self deception when people finally get a taste of FBD after waiting in a line that long.

"Mmmm FBD is the best beer that has literally ever existed because I just waited in line for 3 hours to get it so how could it not be"

#164 still in line. About 20 from the door. Will probably be late for dinner, pissing off wife and folks.
