ITS NOT YOUR FAULT

It wasn't a great batch :( had a sip after it, blew it away.

yeah... i've had it draft/growler recently and have been unimpressed. whatever they did to clarify it hurt the beer IMO (or those batches i've had were clarified and just also happened to be not so great.)

Locust on today. I was trying to remember whether it was always advertised as having Mosaic. I thought when it first came out people thought that Equinox was the non-Galaxy hop.

90% Galaxy according to Matt-never heard Mosaic confirmed before. I remember the Equinox potential conversations- not all too unreasonable IMO. My third homebrew showcasing Equinox is in primary and I find that hop to be somewhere in a happy place between Nelson, Mosaic and slightly akin to Warrior. Closest to Mo.

Turned out FT8 wasn't all Equinox either, featured some Citra dry hops.

They seemed to be cruising through it. Both of the half barrels kicked and needed to be replaced while filling my growlers and they said that they'd kicked those in just over an hour. The first two kegs apparently kicked in about 45 minutes.

I am not surprised that it won't last through another day.

They were on kegs 9 and 10 at closing... Which was 2 more than Craig thought. Not sure how many total there are.

I did my usual Wednesday run today expecting it to be as deserted as it usually is on Wednesdays. I didn't realize LR had become so popular.

I'm very lucky that my commute home has me getting off at exit 59 every single day, so a trip to the brewery is very easy. Unfortunately, all good things must pass and I'll be moving to Trumbull in the next couple months so my visits there will drop significantly :(

People thought that, but it was quickly realized that was it being confused with the mostly-Equinox fat-ten-er. I was pretty sure Mosaic had been confirmed, though I feel like I also remember some mention of CTZ being possibly involved. But whatever!

Wednesday or Thursday are always the least busy days. If g-bot isn't on, it will be noticeably less crowded unless some other high-hype IPA or DIPA are on.

Do the brewers at NEBCO completely change up the grain bill for each IPA they brew or do they pretty much stick with the same recipe but change up the hops? I think they use Pilsner as a base malt for most, if not all, their IPAs.

I've been a bit obsessed with the grain bills of ISO IPAs and the ones I've tried and loved, in order to make a great homebrew IPA with a tasty malt backbone and lots of hops.

Heard a rumor that they use Pils for their base and either CaraMunich or Crystal 40 for Gandhi. So you might be able to play off of that. There is a thread about cloning Gandhi on HBT you could check out as well.

Not really a surprise but the pilsner is excellent. I hope they never have to go on a hiatus for the style again.
Seriously, been missing fresh ECP.... It's also super nice of them to release it on a Saturday when I'm free (and when nothing to bring out the horde's is on tap either).

Max Burger is putting on a cask of Coriolis this Wednesday. This can't be from the last release (right before New Years). Does this mean we can expect a fresh batch on tap at the brewery soon?

For anyone who missed the Facebook post, it sounds like they'll be closed for at least a week starting after close on Saturday for renovations to the tasting room.

Also my purely unfounded hope for the week is that they've done another Coriolis batch for distro like the last time they did FBD since it seems like only casks have gone out to a handful of bars from this most recent batch.
