A bittersweet week here at NEB as we say goodbye to James. We're all very happy for him and his new brewing future in New Mexico, he will be missed dearly as well as his never empty bag of Gummybears. We're taking him out to Delaney's this Thursday after work- please join us and toast him a fond buy for now. The truth is- we traded James for 4 delicious burritos!

This thread has been too quiet, so what's going on, anyone know what's coming up next?

I was in there on saturday afternoon and it was by far the quietest I've seen it since they moved into this location.

According to Twitter....Galaxy by the end of next week.

Based on what Craig told me last Friday (while admitting he is often wrong) Fat Ten-er #6 (cilantro/lime saison) should be out before Galaxy or Gold Stock. Seems like Galaxy might be released first but wouldn't be surprised to see them both out as soon as next week.

Still waiting on Gold Stock....

Also, there's been a bit of chatter about another batch of FBD. That would be awesome, but please bring on the Galaxy!

EDIT: Also, greeting to all of you. Some familiar faces (avatars) from BA. Happy to have made the jump over to TB.

FT #6 is the non-barrel aged version of the beer that was at EBF, I assume?

FBD came, FBD went. Who had this batch? Same as always?

Still eagerly awaiting Gold Stock.
Did not have it. Showed up a little before 6 yesterday and it was gone; still probbaly an hour wait for fills, but I didn't stick around. Heard that if you were not in line around 3ish, you didn't get any yesterday. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also awaiting Gold Stock.

That annoys me and I don't even live in the area

Eh. "Silent" release on Wed with a lot poured then, word got out for Thursday, so the small amount they had just didn't last. Dude behind me in line said he called earlier in the afternoon and was told it would last until Satuday... so that would bug me if I were him.

People can go crazy for this if they want, as long as futue bottle releases remain totally under the radar, like the past RedRum release (lasted at least 4 days I think)

Yeah, that was awesome being able to grab some bottles last time I was down there early March

I guess being away from the area for a few years, it's crazy to me how much more popular NEBCO has become. The concept of a line didn't exist back in 2010...

It still doesn't happen very often except if FBD is on. (I think there's been a line for Coriolis a couple times?)

FBD gets people out of bed to swarm the place. From my experiences, lines aren't more than a few people long most of the time. Usually only around opening for people hoping to get in/out early or on holidays (day before this past Thanksgiving had a line inside, all the way to the back of the old building.

Fair enough. I found it odd that I was in a line only 10 minutes after they opened, so that at least explains why.

Yeah that's reasonable. I've been stopping in after work, now that they're open until 7 Wed-Fri. Usually I find 5-10 people in there sampling/filling growlers.

The apparently infected Friar's Quad at Delaney's was really good. I might have to get more if it survived the evening.

I just spotted Rob on WTNH news this morning. He brought along pretty much all their beers including Redrum, Chardonneighbor, etc. Nice segment & he promoted the benefits of canning beer !
