Hello my name is Demetrios and i'm from NJ. I finally made the plunge into home brewing. My girlfriend and I decided to split an early Christmas present and buy some quality brewing equipment. Our intentions are to experiment with extract then hop into all grain brewing. So far we brewed caribou slobber brown ale and smoke bomb chipotle smoked porter. Thanks for all the great info that can be found on this site. Cheers

I just brewed my Caribou Slobber on Sunday -- smelled great! The smell along makes me want to brew more.

We ended up with a FG of 1.020 and bottled up the carabou today. Very light at 4% abv, so we dry hopped in the secondary for 7days with .5oz US Williamette. It did add a nice aromatic quality to the beer. Better than I expected it to turn out.

Nice. Mine got down to 1.012 but I had a broken hydrometer so never got OG. I'm just waiting for my kegging equipment to arrive and It'll sit in there a couple days before I get to try it out. The few samples I've taken are pretty good so far though.

I just ordered this: http://www.wayfair.com/Bayou-Classic-10-Gallon-Brew-Kettle-800-440-BAY1217.html and will be brewing this recipe (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=359746) next weekend hopefully.
