My buddy's 3 month old daughter gave me a poster of the Periodic table of Beer Styles last night. (What a great kid). While admireing the poster my buddy says we should try drinking at least one of each style. Sounded like a good idea to me. After thinking about this drinking endeavor I came up with the idea to hell with just drinking, I'm going to try brewing one of each style. Thus has begun The Great Beer Adventure. Has anyone here tried to or completed this noble task?

I haven't tried it but... That is a sh$t ton of suds to brew!!

I have not. Jamil Zainasheff mentioned in one of his podcasts that he took some time off and did a massive brew-a-thon, and recommended others to do it as well. I am fuzzy on the specifics of how many styles he brewed but anyway...I would recommend taking a look at his book Brewing Classic Styles, which has all award winning recipes. There are all-grain and extract versions as well. Think of it as your tour guide on this adventure. Good luck! :mug:

I'm gradually working my way through brewing classic styles. I've only done about 20 different styles, but I'll get there one day. Just banged out about 5 different styles the past 6 weeks. Gonna do mt first smoked beer next week then my first ipa. It'll get done....... eventually

Well so far American Pale Ale, English Brown Ale and IPA are in the final stages of fermenting. Next on deck are kolsch, scotch ale and a German Wheat
