It still amazes me how much enjoyment i get from home brewing. Every creation or trip to the LHBS fills me with a child like excitement, as well as my partner. Even the crappy jobs like cleaning bottles are made so much better when you get to toss back a few of your latest brews. It makes me wonder if it will ever get old. Although im sure some tasks involved will eventually. But what about beer? Beer will always be there, and for anyone who has ever made an exceptional batch of it will agree that its far better when its your own. Theres something to be said about the pride involved in a job well done, the fruits of all your labor. So why buy someone elses when you can make your own? I rarely do.

Cheers and happy brewing

Sharing the fruits of our labor is what makes homebrewing enjoyable for me.

When I'm involved in tedious chores like cleaning or dealing with a stuck sparge, it helps to think it would all pay off when I see friends and family enjoying my creation. So much that they would encourage me to start my own brewery. I've heard it many times.

I've had many hobbies, but I think homebrewing is definitely the one that will stick. It has become part of my identity. Never mind that I'm also a computer, tabletop game, photography and Mini Cooper enthusiast long before I picked up homebrewing. I'm "the guy that brews his own beer" to my social circle.

I'm the new guy to brewing in my group of friends that brew, but I feel like I've been able to bring our quality up to a new level. I'm the book worm that's already reading about new methods, new ideas, etc. Plus my hobby money was burning a hole in my pocket and I was able to upgrade some of our equipment. But having a group of friends to brew with definitely makes it so much better. The fun part is definitely brewing, and being able to drink a few that we brewed ourselves with friends during a brew is really just the best times.

Funny that u say that because I am also the bookworm. I find myself hitting the forums and articles daily. Together we've made a pretty nice setup but I've been tweaking and improving it as well as coming up with new methods for the brewing process. That's a whole other side of it for me. Especially equipment. It also helps being a machinist/carpenter (not bragging, but helps a lot) and being able to fabricate just about whatever we can think of, or afford. Lol
