Never did have that 21 stress, at least not at home. I was such a familiar face at beer store when they raised the age to 21, I always could buy. Heck, I worked the door at the Seaview when I was 17.

Maybe you're referring to other factors. Like I remember doing 95 in my '70 LeMans in the snow on two lanes and stuff(only the strait parts, I swear), Anyone ever turn their lights off on the curves so they could check to take the inside curve in the wrong lane? it really is a wonder some of us made it. Even more fortunate I never hurt anyone with such antics

I feel lucky every day. I was really shocked when I made it to my 21st birthday, and that was a loooong time ago!

Yep. Motorcycles and mountain roads, with cage drivers and occasional deer.

As I had hit 6" 3" by the time I was 15 I was the gang's go-to for booze, though tbh most of the scores were in Cow Hampster.
Added a 'stache at 17 and haven't been legit carded since, just the bs formality stuff that occasionally I still get hit with today...

Likewise. Grew a beard at 15, never got carded until I shaved it off at 21. I'll be 64 in a couple weeks, really pisses me off when I get carded by a teenage clerk.

There's a small store I've frequented since the early 80s that is required to verify minimum age. I've known the owner all that time and he's a cool dude, owns a few similar outlets. The help have never actually carded me but they do ask my birth date, and while I never give them a hard time about it, I'm not exactly accurate with the date.

So I'm somewhere between 22 and 119. And they're apparently ok with that...

Cheers! ;)

I gotta try that! June 25, 1856!

As I recall, the 'picture of the day' was Babalu picking up Colby's unattended iPhone and snapping a close up of his sack.

"BRAINS!!!!!! BRAINS!!!!!"

Poor Colby got the shock of his life when he sent Mrs. C pictures of the brew day with the boys.

Sh!t, I miss Babalu. No one could pull off a stunt like that with such panache.

Larb gai, shaved Philly Cheese steak and some arugala just past it's prime. Leftovers for supper. Could be worse, I could have an empty fridge. Life is OK.

You almost had me at the shaved Philly steak, lost me on the wilted arugala. That weed tastes like soap to me, which they say is a common genetic expression of (more, less, different, whatever) evolved genetic diversity. ( I realize different and diversity are redundant, but sticking with it).

Happy fried egg campers!

Well, all my friends from work call me Bear (or El Oso, if they are of the Spanish persuasion). And on several other sites, I go by Carnivore, 'cuz I don't eat much in the plant department.

Don't tell tofu boy!
After your last brew day I was thinking more along the lines of

Captain Underpants. ;)

As a mechanic I make a great nurse.

I am beginning to understand why my friend/mechanic Scott has forbidden me to work on mechanical stuff. Very depressed after a weekend spent doing stuff that I have no business doing and not working out in the end. I think I might have one or two more than prudent tonight as I stew over my incompetence.

Paul, we knew that, but weren't going to say anything. It's good for your soul to come clean, though.
For the lingering depression, I recommend tequila.

Finally got my Australian visa tonight! Now I'm waiting for a quarantine waiver from NSW, so I can do the quarantine in Queensland. Looking at heading out probably Thursday.
@Hoppy2bmerry , did you ever get your Topaz hops?
CORRECTION: We will fly to New Zealand first, bypassing NSW and their quarantine, and fly direct to Brisbane, but still need permission to do the quarantine in Queensland. This covid is turning into a major PITA, been working on the visas and permissions for 3 weeks now.
