Ah, now I understand a little bit:

" *This data uses an estimate of average ethanol content of sold or shipped beer into gallons of ethanol (pure alcohol) before calculating per capita consumption estimates. For this data, the alcohol by volume value for beer is 0.045. "

Don't know about the two northwestern states, maybe their so drunk they keep spilling their beer.,, Or someone making the bucks selling it on the res.

But NH volume has a lot to do with ease of buying booze compared to most of the neighboring states. Rest area liqueur stores. And lower taxes on most things. (not that us home brewers got to worry 'bout that stuff).

Yup traveling around in NH, there are a few large rest areas, with most of the amenities, (except edible food) and a very large state liquor store, shopping carts and all. They don't really sell beer, but usually one can find a malt liquor beer like option, at least the last time I checked, a long time ago.

All the locals here know this of course, just informing the interlopers.

No, Dave is right. The very idea of ‘the usual suspects’ wearing thongs to Masstoberfest is enough to make me seriously consider cancelling the whole thing.
Well, no one said the usual attendees... and I don’t think it was implied that said people would be wearing nuttin butta thong. Come on Paul who would know what you wore under the toga? Could have been a thong, though you seem to be someone that would make more comfortable clothing choices.

I just looked up thong, and I thought it was a kind of sandal. Very few people they look good on, and even unsanitary for them, to share public seating, that is.
Well yes it could be footwear, in Hawaii they're called slippers, and many old timers called them flip flops for the noise they make when walking.

I will admit there is a certain intelligence to that thinking, after I carefully tried to pour the 5gallons from the 10 gallon pot into the keg opening one time and spent the next several hours cleaning floors, pants, shoes, etc. Beer drinking may have been involved.

Safety tip, if wearing boots whilst brewing wearIng long pants with the cloth over the boot, not tucked into the boot. Seriously, if hot wort is spilled on pants it will not collect a large quantity in the boot and cook the foot. But I suppose most of us are smaht enough to know that already.

Same applies to welding slag. Anyway, brewing outdoors in the buff would result in a lot of bug bites around here right now.

Switched to ale yeast last sunday, made a hearty cream ale, but rye malt as main adjunct instead of corn, kind of like many of my "pre-prohibition" lagers. Keeping the pipeline full for sure.

Nope. Flip flops and boxer briefs. So many scars on the bod, it don't matter no mo.

You are also one of those folks referenced re: scalding burns and falls from high ladders/staircases/stepstools/high spots in the driveway that result in elevated "died while brewing beer" category that Dr. Faucci tries real hard to nor talk about.

Hey. we get it, we try to avoid discussing you with normal folks too.
