Snow was purty.
Rain was nasty.
Now I hazz a nice hockey rink where my driveway used to be.

Yup. Went there a couple of months ago. It's an industrial park setting but they did the building and especially the patio well. I wouldn't say you really have a view as you're set in a bowl. Nice landscaping tho. It had the usual sound issue for being so open on the inside

It's set along a cafe for the surrounding companies. I think I had a hazey and a west coast IPA. They were good. Nothing spectacular. Had a basic chicken panini. It was good.

It is very close to my house and was going to try to make it my Friday lunch stop but got pushed to the office.

Id have no problem going again if someone wanted to try something new. It wasn't overly crowded which is a good thing to me. Id give it a shot if you're looking for an adventure

Just read the article. Pretty accurate. I see Sterling in cans at the local packies.

I was completely shocked that it had been open for a month before I knew about it :)

I do enjoy playing the golf course just down the street

Once you've been spoiled by Masstoberfest, nothing can compare.

So I've heard.
All the beers I drank last year were great! As for the one I had brought, it was enjoyed by women not fond of IPAs apparently. @TheDudeLebowski Paul’s pizza was really good last year not burnt nor raw… just right.

Heya massholes, what LHBS is left other than Beer Wine Hobby? Been busy moving and buying a house and finally getting back to brewing. I work in Dedham and live in Holden. All the emporiums closed and just drove by Beerology in Northampton and saw that's closed now too. Cheers

I also have been going up to Jasper's for the last few years since the last Homebrew Emporium outlets all closed. Made one trip to Beer & Wine Hobby just to see their current digs as it'd been years since I visited them when they were in Woburn. Nice folks but it's another 20 minutes from me vs Jasper's, which is also on the way up to our NH house.

Yelp lists some places that allegedly cater in some part to home brewers but I'm skeptical of its accuracy...

Cheers!

Now that you mention it I always blame the haze explosion of me stop brewing. It was actually the closing of Homebrew Emporium. I always enjoyed talking with Fran and his fam. I know he was struggling to stay open so I was constantly there for beer and cider supplies. I miss that place.

There are a surprising amount of hop farms and maltsters in Massachusetts. Definitely in Maine too which some Mass import from.

I'm just a consumer and critique and not a creator anymore:) but Id check them out for base materials to support local.

Just checked Four Star Farms and they're shipping hops online. If you've never visited check out their brewery. I like to disappear out there for the day. Hit the great golf course down the street and the several breweries around. Four Stars has an amazing location in the valley.
