Get over it. They do a whole hell of a lot more for craft beer than people want to admit or believe (especially AB.) Don't like em? Don't support them, pretty simple. They're not going anywhere though, nor should they, they serve their purpose well.

So, we're hating on Big Breweries today? Let's see..where did I leave my Borg Beer picture?....Oh! Here it is...

It is a big statement to say InBev with 152,000 employees should be out of a job, however, a 457m hl producer with a 45.8% US Market share should shut down because they have been producing 457m hl and $43,600,000,000 USD of disappointment. Buying up companies, for a label and a recipe, only to smash it into a despicable piss poor representation of a beloved product that brings us all to this forum. Are you telling me starbucks is the best and only coffee you should drink? Is McDonalds the best burger? Is KFC the best fried chicken?

Having inside, up close and personal involvement with the most recent high profile AB buy out, I call complete BS on the above bolded line. AB goes out of their way to not interfere with operations at breweries they acquire. No one loses their job (against their will) and no decisions are made in Belgium that affect quality of the product. 'm not saying it has always been that way as I have no evidence wither way, but they're doing good things for the people they're acquiring these days. As long as good beer is still made by my local friends just down the street from me, I don't give a rat's ass who owns what percentage of the company. To each their own though.

except taking profit and income out of American soil.

Guess who still gets a paycheck? Yep, the local brewer down the street.

Kinda like the Toyota vs Chevy argument. Chevy may be American owned, but they're made in Mexico/Korea by Mexicans and Koreans. Toyota may be Japanese owned, but they're made in Atlanta and Texas, by Americans. Guess what I drive?

I've got you pegged as a Tundra or Tacoma kinda guy.

Well I've been reading this thread with an odd mix of mild bemusement and concern. But there's one thing I can't figure out...since the good people of Indiana can't even agree on time zones, how and when did they adopt the metric system?

Yep. Last I was aware, the top auto plants in the US was actually Nissan's TN plant. I'm sure Hyundai's AL plant and Toyota's KY plant aren't fare behind.

But seriously. Wherever corporate profits go, we still don't see a dime. However, US-manufactured and US working people paid is good for them, and our economy, more than the corporate profits are.

I see the argument as two fold...yes as American homebrewers we want to see good craft beer made here and owned by our brewing brethren but common how are you gonna tell the guys at Ballast Point to give up 1 billion dollars from Constellation Brands with no changes in management or brewers?

As others have said as long as Americans are making the money and spending it here isn't it worth it? Who are we to judge or complain about where someone gets the check from?

If you really want to stop them, everyone has to do their part. For example, I keep cutting the tops off Budweiser kegs so they can never be used again to transport their beer. No beer delivery, no sales. No sales, no company. It's so simple.

Pro tip: reuse the cut keg as a giant pot.
