Listening to this album again, and it's way solid. Not sure why I overlooked it when I was younger. The vocals and feel almost remind me of Small Brown Bike, in a way.

Made a decision that I’m going to go backwards through the Malkmus timeline tonight...

This is where that thing starts for me.

One of the last records I bought when I was still buying records (I now buy records again).

This hits a little harder than I remember. Strong guitar passages and deliberate song writing.

I agree. Slanted is always my favorite and was how I was introduced the the band- Trigger Cut/Summer Babe Sooo good. But, Wowie Zowie is definitely next.

On a HWM bender these past couple weeks. I blame PurityControl88. Wonderful album here on marbled redish wax. Beer is from Brew Gentlemen. Their anniversary beer IV. Have heard this record a million times and have consumed the beer merely once - can’t decide which is the highlight of the current experience. beer + vinyl for the win fam.
