That other beer forum, the one that has colors that burns your eyes - especially after having 6, 8, 10 or whatever bottles... what's up with that? i'm still seeing red spots...

I actually found them before HBT but I could never get into their forum. I can't even tell you why. This one just seems more friendly.
I almost never go there now.

There are other forums???? J/K, I've looked, I didn't like, and while I could spend time posting somewhere else, I'm perfectly content here.

I too used to "use" other forums, and i always felt used and unsatisfied when I logged off. Untill I found HBT my life was an empty shell...........oh you get it, been there and they where either uptight little Biatches, who shunned all new commers or they all had a stick up their colective butts and couldn't take a joke.

Amen Brother![/B]

There is more information here than on major beer sites. This community has so much potential for expanding just on beer alone. Also that Growing thread on BBQ Rubs and sauces in the cooking and pairing forum thread? That needs some SERIOUS Considering for expansion

I don't think I've ever asked a question that hasn't been answered in one way or another on this site. (Well, there is one, but I've flogged that one to death.) Consequently I haven't really frequented any others. Besides, I like all the dorks here.

I actually used to go to the 2 sites about equally, but I stick around here more frequently now. I used to think the green board was a lot more technical but this place is definitely catching up. Over there it seems like it is getting to be a showcase for who has the best gear.

I still have many friends over there though--but it isn't anywhere near the camraderie that this place has.

I just don't feel the the need for another forum.

I keep an Eye on a UK forum but to tell you truth I find one or two of the posters abrubt and rude. It's a small membership so it makes a big difference.

HBT for me.:mug:

Took the words right out of my mouth. I googled for forums but couldn't find anything as green as you guys make it sound.. If the name is unmentionable, someone PM me with it please. Thanks!

www.brewboard.com

It is owned by the HBS called Alternative Beverage in North Carolina. It was formerly www.homebrewadventures.com, another HBS. Bothe links are still active but the store is the same place. I get really good service from there, but I like Austin Homebrew so much that is usually where I order from.

Anyway, the green board is a pretty cool place. But not as cool as here. ;)

I belong to other boards also (cigar boards) and I think HBT is by far the friendliest board I've seen. When you are still a noob, you will have crazy, outragous, (and to some) stupid questions. But how do we learn? You guy's have been great. I don't have a lot of experience, but have been given a lot of knowlage (spellcheck)! Hell I've benn a member at Club Stogie for almost a year now and they still wont let me post!

The other board makes my eyes burn, I mean the literally. I can't use it, even with my 'computer' glasses. Can't remark on the content, came back here.

Literally? Holy crap, I've never seen a website that is actually able to make the user's eyes literally catch on fire.

;)

I cruise another forum, not the green one (ick) almost as much as HBT, but I post alot more here than anywhere. It's alot more fun here.

smoke76, I've been a member of Club Stogie for over 2 years. Some of those guys can be a PITA!!!!!!

Yeah...I totally agree. Beer and BBQ are totally meant for eachother. I pretty much won't even fire up my smoker without a beer in my hand. It's against my religion :D
