Anybody brewing this Thanksgiving Day?

We're gonna burn some calories while brewing a clone of this:

she likes some great beer!

I've been going off of this thread for the Gulden Draak but my exact recipe will be:

GRAINS:
11# Belgian Pilsner
5# Belgian 2-Row
1# German Wheat Malt
1# Candi Sugar (Clear)
1# Belgian Crystal 60
4 oz Aromatic
3 oz Biscuit

HOPS:
.92 oz Perle (90 min)
.50 oz Styrian Goldings (15 min)

YEAST:
2L starter with 2 packs of WYeast 3787 Trappist High Gravity

mash at 150 for 90 mins

If you're looking for extract, I believe they have it in the Clone Brews book. They're all-grain recipe can't be right because there's no way you'd get a high enough OG with the amount of grain they call for...but their extract clone looks right on.

I started doing all grain six months ago when my wife wanted me to move to making higher gravity beers. I hope to be able to get this going next weekend if I can get a starter built up by then. How long do you let this go for in the primary?

Thanks for sharing and hope this turns out well for you.

i'll keep you updated but I'll probably keep it in primary for at least 2 weeks...i did an Affligem Noel clone last month with similar numbers and it took about 2 weeks to drop where I wanted it to before I racked it to secondary for another 2 weeks. I'm bottling tomorrow and it will end up at 11%...i'm going to let it bottle condition for a month until Christmas Eve. I've heard that carbonating a beer this high can be tough sometimes so I decided to repitch yeast 3 days before bottling.

I've been doing all grain for about 6 months as well and have loved it!

My order from Northern Brewer wont be here until the 30th, but I will enjoy some extra pale ale I made on tap.

Brewing on Black Friday, maybe you should do something really dark and call it "Black Friday Ale" or something like that.

I work in retail, so no brewing for me, but could use some home brews after each shift, my stout is still not ready, it needs another week. So send me samples to get me through this season.

I brewed a Smashing Pumpkin Ale today. I know it's a late start in the season for this brew, but SWMBO is really into pumpkin stuff and is really excited about it. Hope it turns out well, it tasted good when we drank the hydro sample. It was a great day! Happy Turkey Day!

I just finished cleaning up from a double brew day. I did a Dundalk Irish Heavy this morning and then a Left Hand Milk Stout this evening.
