Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting. I've brewed about 6 batches and have one fermenting now. I've decided to take the dive into kegging by purchasing a dual faucet kegerator with all the parts and two kegs.

Now before I throw my beer in the keg and hook it up I want to test that everything works correctly when hooked up. Is there any special way to go about doing this?

Can I hook the gas up and see if it flows through the kegs to the faucet? I figured that may be a waste of a lot of gas. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You have to sanitize your kegs taps and lines anyways so why not make a batch of sanitizer in one keg and hook it up to the tap and gas and draw a few cups off your tap then dump the keg into the other keg and do the same. I like to leave sanitizer in my beer lines and kegs when not in use so they are good to go when I need them
