I'm getting ready to build my fermenter chiller. I ordered my stc1000 to control my temp but I was wondering since it has hot and cold, what would be a reliable heating source in the chiller or do I even need it. I'll be using a mini fridge and going to build around the fridge. Thanks for your feedback!

Are you sure about that?
I use a small ceramic heater in my ferm chamber, a hairdryer in my kegerator (unattached garage in MN). You can also use heat mats or wraps.
