I am currently using the Kegco TC-321 temperature controller and so far it has done its job. The only problem is that when I have a power outage, which always seems to happen when I am not home, the unit resets to a much warmer factory setting once power is restored. I then come home to beer that has gotten warm. I am looking at making my own controller by using the STC-1000 but was wondering if I would have the same issue if I had a power outage. Anyone with experience using the STC-1000 no the answer to this question?

I've had my power blink and I've unplugged controllers to move around and they retain their settings. I don't know if they have a battery or if they write to some sort of steady state memory.
