Temp Control on Dansby 440

I just started kegging using the Dansby 440. I have the Johnson Digital control. What temp do people recommend it can hold at best? Also what differential and delay do people use? I had it set for 35 degrees with a delay of 5 minutes and it went up almost 20 degrees in that time. Also it is in the 90s where I am which I am sure is a factor.
