TC HERMS Flow

Hi guys,

I am currently planning/building my first electric 20g system.
I want to make it 100% welded/TC.
Bobby, I see you cringing already!

The only concern I have is about the HERMS coil in HLT.
Outer/Inner ferrule would be 1.5 inches but then the coil diameter is 0.35 inches.
Would it restrict the flow too much? My Fluid Mechs class was so long ago.

No it has no effect. I mean the coil will slow flow but it runs fast enough to do the job and its faster than the tun should flow anyway.

The coil (not the TC terminations) will restrict flow, but if the coil is long enough it will do the job.
