So I did my first brew it was a brewers best American pale ale. Everything went good we recently bottled waited a week and couldn't help but try one. Tasted just like I thought it was and considered it a success. Waited another week and popped one of the 22oz bottles today at the 2 week mark and it tasted completely different and not good at all. Any differences between the 12 and 22 oz bottle that would cause this?

Your beer is green. Expect it to change. It's going to take at least 3 weeks to carb properly, and even then the taste will continue to change. I think the bigger bottles take a little longer to carb, as well.

There is certainly a difference in the size of bottle as one will carb faster then the other - however - not THAT much.

As tgmartin said - it will change over time. I've had beer that is horrible but 2 months later it's great. And vice versa.
