Taste difference between Organic and Non-Orgainic Hops?

Hi there,

I was going to place an order for my first Rhymzones.

The place I'm ordering from has organic Rhymzones for $12.50. and Standard ones for $9.50.

Is there a flavor difference between organic or standard hops? Is it worth the next $3 to go organic? What are the advantages / disadvantages?

An organic rhizome just means that the mother plant was grown organically. You can take a non-organic rhizome and grow it organically. Conversely, you can take an organic rhizome and grow it with non-organic fertilizer and the hops you get from it will not be organic.

Forgot to mention that you should try to see where the rhizomes are from and try to buy them from an area that has similar weather to where you are going to grow them.

There may very well be a taste difference between organically and inorganically grown hops but that's more about how the plant is grown when it is producing hops and not so much about where the rhizomes came from. AA might be affected as well.
