Ive been using the Tap-A-Draft for 6 months now with 3 liter coke bottles. There isn't a problem with the seal but I'm using 2 Co2 cartridges for 3 liters bottlers. I have an empty cartridges in the other cylinder so co2 cant be leaking from there. What am I doing wrong?

So, are you saying you hook up one cartridge at a time with an empty cart in the second slot and that it takes two full CO2 cartridges to empty a 3 liter bottle?

If so, I'm not sure there's much of anything wrong. I normally hook up two full cartridges on the full size bottles and when they start to run low I go with the only one cartridge at a time setup you are using. It normally takes three or four carts to go through one of the 1.5 gallon bottles.

how about using some priming sugar to get things going faster if you aren't in a RUSH... or is that a bad idea?

yeah those little carts don't hold much. i have one of those keg dispenser guns and i go thru a million of them just to dispense.

+1

I prime mine and let it carb in the bottle before hooking up the TAD head. The 4-5 carts is just for dispensing.

I do naturally carb. It was advertised as only taking two carts for 6 liters. If your using 4 or 5 carts that can get expensive.

I've never come close to two carts, I have gotten away with three before, but you have to be willng to let it run slowly towards the end of each cart to get the most out of them.

I ended up buying a pack of 100 carts online. That was quite a bit cheaper then buying them at the local five and dime. I've always wanted to find a simple way to adapt the thing to a mini-regulator and a paintball tank. I've seen some attempts, but they always turn out a bit cumbersome.
